INICIO steel exterior doors are available in four premium material types: galvanized steel (primary/standard option), bronze, stainless steel, and corten (weathering) steel. The galvanized steel configuration includes a zinc primer and powder-coated finish for maximum protection against the elements.

INICIO offers five standard colors in both smooth and textured finishes: RAL 7021 (Black Grey), RAL 9004 (Signal Black), RAL 9005 (Jet Black), RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey), and RAL 9003 (Signal White). For custom color matching, INICIO also offers an extensive range of RAL finish colors, giving architects and homeowners virtually unlimited design flexibility.

INICIO steel doors are powder coated with a zinc primer powder base coat. The powder coating meets a C-4 classification for steel corrosion resistance ? one of the highest categories indicating excellent protection in industrial and coastal atmospheric conditions. This multi-layer finish system of galvanized steel substrate, zinc primer, and powder topcoat provides long-lasting protection against rust, fading, and environmental wear.

Cold-formed steel is manufactured at room temperature, producing profiles that are 20% stronger than those made from hot-rolled steel. INICIO uses cold-formed 1.5mm tubular steel because it delivers more exacting, clean-line profiles with smoother surfaces ? resulting in a flawless, seamless aesthetic with no visible corner welds. This process also enables tighter dimensional tolerances for consistent quality and a premium fit and finish.

The overall INICIO steel frame is 3 inches wide throughout the entire window and door product line. Sliding door systems can have wider jambs to accommodate their track and hardware systems. The slender frame width allows for maximum glass area and unobstructed sightlines while maintaining superior structural strength.
